Stephen & Cynthia Walker are team leaders in the South East English District, based near Ipswich, Suffolk. Stephen Walker has also recently taken on the role of English Director. They work together with Calvin Park, James & Katie Brown and Arabella Paul. They have three children, two of which are at third level or in apprenticeships and the younger is in year eight at high school. They have been working with The Faith Mission for over twenty five years. Prior to this, Stephen was a trained motor mechanic and Cynthia was a full time student.
The main aspect of their ministry is the leadership of the team, maintenance and development of the camp centre including running camps, youth weekends, soccer school and other youth activities as well as school work including Walk Though the Bible. Further outreaches include street cafe work and “The Barn” a young adults meeting once a month. Stephen preaches at various churches throughout the week sharing the gospel, encouraging deeper Christian living and sharing the vision of evangelism in this area.
The vision for the area is to take further gospel initiatives, together with local churches and communities and see the centre used to its full potential. This includes developing a programme for young adults to participate in evangelism.
